Long description: SecondSite Property Holdings Ltd, formerly Lattice Property Holdings, commissioned Parsons Brinckerhoff Ltd to undertake the project management of a slurry-phase bioreactor remediation trial at a former gasworks site in the northwest of England. The trial was designed to demonstrate and further verify the effectiveness of slurry-phase bioremediation at commercial-scale. The purpose of the report is to provide an overview of the application of slurry-phase bioremediation and describes the design, construction and considerations inherent to the implementation of a slurry-phase bioreactor, and to provide an objective assessment of the technology.
