Long description: A UK wide consultation on how to take on the challenge of sustainable development. In 1999 the UK Government published its sustainable development strategy 'A Better Quality of Life' and this is now being reviewed. In order to provide a consistent approach and focus across the UK we want to develop a UK Strategic Framework for sustainable development to 2020 agreed by the UK Government and by the administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
