Short description: The inventory for POPs releases was carried out based on up-to–date guidance materials and reports, including UNEP Chemicals and EMEP/CORINAIR Guidelines and Methodology. In compliance with the provisions of the Convention, in order to form a comprehensive image of all sources of POPs pollution and their ramifications, the following activities were undertaken: collection of statistical and other official report data, meetings on site with local representatives of the Ecological Inspectorate and plant protection agencies, local population and managers of warehouses of Convention-related chemicals, extrapolation of existing data for generation of data in the areas characterized by data gaps, seminars and workshops involving representatives of companies, ecological institutions, medical experts and NGOs.
