The USEPA has published its annual summary report detailing progress on the cleanup of contaminated sites. During the 2005 financial year (September-September)
EPA completed work on 40 sites; 665 projects were ongoing at 422 sites nationwide;18 new sites were identified for clean up work ad a further 12 were proposed
for future work. Over 400 emergency responses were also undertaken during the year. A summary of the report is available online.
