Earlier this year the Environment Agency for England and Wales hosted an international workshop on the potential use of bioaccessibility test results in risk assessment of land contamination. The workshop highlighted many of the challenges, needs and concerns expressed by the scientific community and other national regulatory organisations.
As well as scientists, regulators and consultants from the UK the workshop was also attended by specialists from the United States, the Netherlands and Denmark.
