A number of families sued Corby District Council saying deformities to hands and feet were due to 
mothers being exposed to a 'soup of toxic materials' between 1985 and 1999, because of exposure to 
dust resulting from excvation and removal.   
  
The council was todat found negligent over its work to reclaim a steel plant at the High Court in
