General rules of environmental protection are set in the 53/1995 law that aims to develop harmonic relation of humans and the environment, the aligned 
protection of the environment as a whole, its elements and processes to ensure the long-term sustainability. The law contains the basic principles of the environmental

1.2 Regulation
The 33/2000 (III.17.) Governmental Decree on tasks relating activities affecting the quality of waters aims to avoid the pressure load of groundwater, 
the prevention and abolition of soil contamination, reduction of limit exceeding pollution and impairment. It also regulates the remediation procedures
and the Hungarian National Environmental Remediation Programme. This Governmental Decree enables and requires the consideration of the economical aspects
