Meaning in EUGRIS: Enhanced MNA typically describes in situ techniques to stimulate the microbial degradation of contaminants. This can be done by injecting organic substrate in the case of chlorinated solvents or by providing additional electron acceptors in the case of petroleum hydrocarbons.
