Monitoring France
Periodic or continuous surveillance or testing to determine
the level of compliance with statutory requirements and/or
pollutant levels in groundwater.
Groundwater monitoring is a key component of contaminated
land management. The French government has emphasized
its increasing importance by issuing regulations and developing
methodological tools to help stakeholders and, in particular,
the Inspectorate of Classified Installations, manage
the protection of major water resources.
