Duration: 14 Days .This is a 2-week residential summer school. The school is designed for graduate and post-doctoral researchers, working in universities, public and private research centres or private companies. Places are limited to 30 participants. Applications are welcome from all countries. A bursary of up to £750 is available for researchers working, or registered for a PhD, at a UK higher educational institution.

Cost: 250 (£ GBP) A registration fee of £250 is payable in advance to secure a place on the summer school. This fee is a deposit on the local accommodation costs for the duration of the summer school.

Course Aims: (1) Examine the scientific theory and engineering application of bioremediation
(2) Explore current technical limitations affecting the bioremediation of soils and groundwater
(3) Introduce new thinking, state-of-the-art analytical tools, practical assessment methods and novel applications, which are at the “frontier” of the field
(4) Exchange research and practical experience between China, the UK and elsewhere
(5) Develop long-term relationships for further research
