Short description: The purpose of the guide is to make developers aware of their responsibilities and what information the Council is likely to require in order to assess an application for planning consent. It has been produced by the Northamptonshire Contaminated Land Group and represents a countywide approach to the development of contaminated land in accordance with relevant national guidance documents to ensure that consistent and transparent requirements are applied. Investigation and remediation of contaminated land should be carried out in accordance with the requirements set out in formal guidance and protocols.
